February

Here we are exploring Inuit artifacts. There are many tools and we had to wear gloves to touch the items.

We also listened to an album of throat singing.

We read books with information and stories about Nunavut.

We also explored toys.

We explored Inuit art.

We sketched huskies.

We built a dog sled and made some dogs out of modeling clay and other art supplies.

Here are our Inukshuks.

We finished our Keynote research projects about different countries.

We are lucky to have Mme Page come and learn math with us!

We reviewed fractions.

We did tangram puzzles.

We practiced our multiplication.

We did some French writing about our friends.

We handed out Valentine cards.

For I love to read, we had Marie-Eve from the French public library come to read to us.

We also listened to some stories with Constable Sean.

We kicked off our Festival du Voyageur days with a fantastic concert performed by our grades 4 and 5 choir.

We sang and danced.

We ate bannock after the concert.
