We were learning about texture using the fallen leaves. 

We were experimenting with gravity by holding different things for 30 seconds. 

We are working on experiments with magnets. 

We play a lot of different math games.

We worked on making patterns with many different objects. 

We wrote books in French about what we are thankful for. 

We shared our books with a partner. 

We read a French story about bats and tried drawing them. 

We played a French sound sorting game. 

We presented our poems in English and French. 

We were working on our Cranberry Thanksgiving retell and then we got to eat some cranberry bread. Some students liked it and some thought the cranberries were sour!

We wrote autobio poems and helped each other make them better. 

One of our centers was making words with Banagrams. 

We read to each other for practice.

We were reading Strega Nona stories and writing about them. 

We were painting Halloween backgrounds. 

We talked about silhouettes. 

We worked on making a class book by acting out how to be a good friend. We wrote little stories in groups of three. 

We had to put together a puzzle and work as a group. We talked about what it means to get along in a group. 

Mme Natasha is our guest artist. She showed us many pictures of recycling and garbage made into art projects. We looked at our materials and made a plan for building our boats on Friday!

Here we are drawing a smart cookie because Madame thinks we are smart cookies!

We were sharing what we did on the week-end and during summer in French.

We are working with hundreds, tens and ones in our math class. 

This game is called Pictionary. You have to guess what your partner is drawing. 

We made trees with paint in art. We talked about perspective and point of view. 

We had book buddies and we played with the grade 1 and kindergarten students. 

We were coloring our orange shirts so we could display them in the window. This is to honour the residential school survivors. 

 

We ran outside for the Terry Fox Marathon of Hope!

We learned a game with a clock and some dice. You have to eliminate the numbers on the clock by adding or subtracting the numbers on the clock!

We helped our grade 1 buddies tie orange ribbons on the fence. 

Mme Heather started reading us this book and we will finish it next library class.
