We listened to announcements outside on Treaty Day!

We did reading in the library with Mme Morrison's class. We read books about Indigenous stories. 

We signed a treaty on Treaty Day!

We played at the park and Mme got extra teacher points!

We smudged with Mme Pam and she taught us about different medicine plants. 

We were making an art project with the Seven Teachings animals. 

We learned about a song. We got to play the drums and sing the song! It is called The Buffalo Calling song. 

We played Indigenous games with Mme Laura. 

We did a square dance that we learned with Mme Kylie. 

 We made a big circle with the entire school and we sang The Buffalo Calling song to end the day. 

We are reading Charlotte's Web and we do different jobs for each chapter. We write news articles, make posters and more!

We are organizing our new words for Words Their Way!

We practice reading our French books with a partner.

We used many strategies to solve math problems! We are also doing activities with geometric shapes and solids. 

We play Lego when it's indoor recess!

We made Maya books about the ancient civilization. 

We made robots for Star Wars day when Mme came back because she missed it!

We looked at different types of seeds and how they are transported. 

We filled containers with soil and then we planted many different types of seeds. 

We wrote about how tall our plants grew, about their differences and about when they started to grow. 

We took our plants home!

Here we were writing about a friend in our class in French. 

We cut a picture of our face in half and made the other side. We used shading. 

We were working on our rainbows for our spring art project. 

We were talking about bullying with the constable. 

We were watching videos about the earth in French. We learned how to take care of the earth. 

We were working on our earth art project and we were using pip squeaks and water on a coffee filter. 

We worked on many different pages and will put together a book about our learning. 

We do partner reading in French!

We are also reading Charlotte's Web. 

There were 4 different recycling cans and we had to sort the items to put them where they belong. 

We sorted some Smarties by colour. Then we counted them and wrote fractions with them. Finally we got to eat them! Yum!

We learned many new math games!

We practice our basic facts on Reflex Math and then we can play math games or Prodigy on the iPads. 

We were doing science centers and we were feeling different types of seeds and soils. 

We learned about roots. 

 We made canola oil with canola seeds. 

We learned more about roots.

We looked at books about plants. 

We learned about the life cycles of plants. 

We learned about flowers. 

We learned about the different parts of plants. 

We planted some seeds to grow marigold flowers.

We talked about what we could do to help the earth. 

We are also learning the Ancient Maya Civilization.
