October

Here is our October post!

We made an apple and on the apples we put things about us so that people could get to know us better.

We made animals with leaves. First we tried to make the animal with the leaves and after we glued them. We also did turkey art. We coloured them and cut them and then we put them together. We made them for Thanksgiving.

We made monsters. We cut paper out and made them with shapes. We wrote a paragraph in French about our monsters. Try to find our monster!

This is our compass adventure! Compasses tell us where north, south, east and west are.

We are learning about static electricity. We were using a balloon to make static electricity. Hair, plastic straws, string and paper stuck to the balloon.

We were learning about putting leaves under the paper and doing a leaf rub. We are looking for texture in our artwork. Afterwards, we made our animals with the same leaves.

This is Robin Chestnut. You would think he does magic, but he doesn't. He is a very talented man.

Our teacher had to ride the unicycle and she was scared but she did it! She felt good afterwards and was happy. We practiced juggling with Robin in the gym. We started with one ball, then two and finally three!

We learned that same poles repel on a magnet but opposite poles attract. We have been studying forces.

Here is our last visit learning about mindfulness and empathy.

Here we are painting the sky for our tree project.

Here we are ripping paper and gluing it to make the trunk.

Here we are painting the different colour leaves with q-tips.

Here is the final project! Guess which one is ours!

We also read books by Tomie DePaola. Ask me who Strega Nona is!

In math we have been working on more patterns and addition.

We are looking forward to our Halloween party on Monday!

Cranberry Bread

The cranberry bread is so good! This is because we read the book Cranberry Thanksgiving!
