March

I hope everyone is doing well and staying healthy! We have missed seeing everyone together. Here are some pictures of our activities this month.

For English centres we worked on our French identity story vines, read to a partner, wrote stories in Book Creator on the iPads, played word games and made words with bananagram tiles.

We were so proud of our grade 3 and grade 4 students who were chosen to represent our school at the divisional Concours d'art oratoire. Both students received gold for their efforts!

Our grade 3 choir received silver at the Music Festival and they sang beautifully!

We put together many of our French writing projects to make a book and we shared our work with each other and our book buddies.

Les 4 coins is an activity we did in French. Mme makes a statement and we have to pick our corner depending on if we strongly agree, agree, disagree or strongly disagree. We discuss our opinions and try to convince each other that we are right.

Grade 4 ORFF Club performed for our school. They did a fantastic job!

We listened to a presentation from someone who works for Agriculture Manitoba. We talked about where our food comes from and we played an interesting game in our groups. The game taught us about when different food and farming inventions were made.

Expo-Assiniboine was a big hit! There were so many interesting projects displayed in the gym.

Although we had a very small group, we decided to try this new art project and it turned out great! Try to guess which student picked which animal in their masterpiece.

Our family story vines are on display on the bulletin board. Everyone presented a special fact about each family member on their vine.

I hope you enjoyed the blog post and have a restful week-end!
Take care,
Mme DeSousa
