September

We talked about what we did this summer and then we wrote about it in French on the popsicles.

We were playing a game where whoever has the biggest number has to say the sum of both numbers.

We read a book in French and we drew what happened in the book. We worked on clarifying, predicting, summarizing and questioning.

We did English centres. We read books with Mme. We read on RAZ-Kids. We were playing name bingo. We were doing journal writing. We played Bananagrams and looked for the big word. We talked about reading strategies with Mme Laura.

This is when we are counting how many beads are in the tiny cups. First we had to estimate how many were in the cup before we counted.

We did Reflex math on the iPads to practice our basic facts.

We got to paint a picture of what we imagined in the forest. This is us painting the background.

We are reading with a partner.

We were looking at our rocks and describing them and comparing them. We also wrote questions about the rocks.

We went to Stonewall and checked out some rocks.

We were looking at rocks and fossils. We did fossil hunting. In the olden days, they would put limestone into the kilns.

We were doing a play to present different fossils that we made with clay.
Sheldon told us what our planet was like 450 000 000 years ago.
It was cool to learn about rocks. It was a great day and we had fun!

Friday we had the Terry Fox run and today we learned why we wear an orange shirt. We are also working on mapping skills .
