January

We are writing our goals for this year!

We are working on shading techniques in art.

We were shading half of our faces.

We read the book about a lonely inukshuk and it said why the inukshuk exists.

We drew northern lights with pastels and then cut out our own inukshuks.

We finished our French writing about Elise Gravel animals.

We played games to practice French sounds.

We started practicing a play about the three little pigs.

We did research projects about a country.

When we finished we presented our Keynote projects to the class.

We were using blocks to do math and learn multiplication.

We all wrote a question with four possible answers. Then we did a survey in French to see what our friends would choose.

We made bar graphs to show our results.

Someone from CBC presented about how to create video games on Zoom. The quiz was really fun!

We read about the true story of the three little pigs. It was from the wolf's point of view.

We also read Mind Your Manners B. B. Wolf. These are fractured fairy tales.

We read The Gingerbread Cowboy, there was a coyote and it was in the desert.

We read Little Red Gliding Hood. We practiced retelling the story and then we drew it out.

North Star came to play the rights game with us. The goal was to find all of our rights. We talked about the Seven Sacred Teachings.

We are building a tipi. These science centers are from the University of Manitoba. We are studying structures.

We made designs.

We were making rooftops and testing them.

We played continent and ocean games. There were also country and flag games.

We were building the arch of an igloo door.

We built a hogan and used different shapes, it was challenging.

We studied totem poles.

We tested square and triangular structures to see which one is stronger.

The ORFF Club sang O Canada at the Moose game. We met Mickey Moose and Buzz & Boomer.

Constable Cross came to talk to us about anti-bullying!
