March Post

Here we are at Choir Festival. We sang Bop Shoo-wop and Fais dodo. We got silver for excellence. We also got a pizza lunch for all our hard work. We got to sing to the whole school.

Here is Tibert le voyageur. He is a voyageur and he taught us what it's like to be a voyageur by telling us a story.

This is when we were doing division. We had to divide the bingo chips into groups. Next we divided pictures on the smart board and then we did problems in a booklet. Finally, we got to play a division game.

Here we are making a shadoof. It's a structure that the Ancient Egyptians built for transporting water from the Nile.

Here we are doing power reading with a buddy. We have to sit shoulder to shoulder and knees to knees with the book in the middle so that we can both see. This is how we read our French books to each other. We also wrote a paragraph about our favourite season in French.

Here are the projects from the project fair.

These are rhyming words from when we were making our rhyming poems about spring. We also learned about antonyms and synonyms. We made a Comic Life presentation with homonyms.

Here we were doing the polar bear walk.

Here are the bridges we made in art. We did all different kinds of bridges. We looked for pictures of famous structures in Winnipeg, like the MTS Centre, on the iPads. We also did a Keynote presentation about a famous structure on the iPads.

On the last day before spring break we played minute to win it games. Here is junk in the trunk, we had to jump around until the bingo chips fell out of the Kleenex box attached to our backs.

Here is popsicle stick trick. We had to balance foam dice on the stick.

Here is balloon bop. We had to keep the balloons up in the air. The winning team got to take the balloons home.

Here is bonus bingo straws. We had to use a straw to move a bingo chip from one plate to the other.

Here is chopstick challenge. We had to use chopsticks to move the shapes from the bin onto a plate.

We had lots of fun! Here we are wearing our hats for hat day.

Have a great spring break and see you in April!
