February

We are building the roof of a hogan. This is part of the science crate!

We were building boats to see how many marbles our boat could hold in water. 22 was the highest number of marbles. We used foil paper to make our boats.

We were building cubes out of straws and modeling clay. We saw that the strongest cube had a lot of triangles for support. The cube held 39 books!

We studied totem poles using a book in the science crate and then we used the designs to create our own!

We made Inukshuks with chalk pastels and paper. You can see the Northern Lights in the background.

We used oil pastels and paper to create our voyageur bulletin board. We glued on our faces and we made canoes.

We dressed up as voyageurs with red tuques and sashes.

We did many voyageur activities like a crossword puzzle to learn vocabulary. We also played bingo and made a craft.

Mme Kylie came back to teach us the Red River Jig and the Seven Step Dance! We had so much fun in the gym!

We made pigs or wolves out of modeling clay to go with our French plays. Soon we will build a structure for them as part of our science unit.

We finished our Keynote projects. We are presenting what we learned about different countries.

We each wrote a question with 4 options for answers and then we asked everyone in the class for their answer. This is our survey.

We made a graph with the results and then we wrote sentences about our graphs.

We worked on division books using stickers!

We learned a math game and used calculators to check our work.

We used array cards to write multiplication and division fact families!

Constable Cross read to us for I love to read month.

Mr. Sala also read to us on Teams!

We read some more fractured fairy tales.

We wrote about our marvelous future and our marvelous story. We learned how to use the green screen app!

The end!
