Monthly
Scholastic orders are a great way to build your home library and motivate your
child to read! Please order online and help us earn bonus coupons to expand our classroom library.
Home Reading
Reading
each day is a great habit to form at a young age. Setting a time and routine
for your child will help encourage them to keep up their reading! Home Reading
books and logs will go home weekly. Students may change their books on Friday or Monday. Having your child read aloud to you is a great way to find out what they
are reading about and to check if their choice of literature is a good fit for
them. It is also good for them to practice fluency. However not all the reading
has to be done aloud. Students should spend at least 20-25 minutes reading
every night and can certainly spend more if they wish. Your child also has a RAZ-Kids account for online reading in English and French!
Je lis, Epic, ALEC and Reflex Math are other accounts your child will have access to this year.
