Our Awesome December!

We did posters of how to survive on a deserted island. We learned what we need to survive and how to work together.

We made presents and cards for 'someone special'!

We made mosaic snowmen because snowmen were the theme of our concert. A mosaic is usually made of tiles but we used tissue paper. We cut the tissue into little shapes.

We presented our 'How To' posters. Ask me what mine was about!

We studied continents and oceans. Some of the activities we did to learn them were a game on the iPad, naming them on a map, testing our friends, cutting and pasting them and cutting up an orange!

We are doing multiplication. It means 'groups of'. For example, 5 x 5 = 25 because 5 groups of 5 make 25.

We read fairy tales and practiced retelling them. Mme read some fractured fairy tales and we have to think of ideas to write our own in January!

We had our winter concert. We learned that it is not as hard as we thought to perform in front of an audience. We had to say our lines, sing, do actions, play a pretend baseball game, practice, play recorder and stand for 45 minutes but we had fun!

We had so much fun bowling in the afternoon on the last day!
