January

The grade 3's went to the symphony this month. There was a bird trying to find her song.

The grade 4's went to Junie B. Jones. The play was super funny! It was very realistic. Junie B. Jones was singing a song about bee's wax.

We are with our book buddies on fuzzy buddy day! We are in the gym reading books together.

Here we are doing science crate activities. We are watching a show called Parka in French. We are also making boats out of aluminum foil and testing them in a water bucket with marbles.

Here we are making a roof out of pipe cleaners and hanging weights on them to test their strength. We are also building tipis.

Here we are building a hogan out of sticks. We are also building the entrance to an igloo.

Here we are designing totem poles with paper towel rolls. We were drawing on them with markers.

Here we are presenting our Keynote projects about the different continents. It was fun!

We're researching different topics for the Concours d'art oratoire. Each student will present their speech to our class.

We are sorting different foods into the food groups.

This our book character day!

This was our game day. The other classes would come and we would play games in French!

This is where we were doing our art projects. We were decorating mittens with bead art.

We have been doing fractions in math. Fractions are cool. We learned that 1/2 is bigger than 1/4. We played games as well.

We finally finished Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. We also did English centres!

We are practicing shading techniques for our next art project.

Many students were away because of the cold weather but we spend our last afternoon in January building a room we imagined in the factory of Willy Wonka. They were very creative and turned out amazing!
